Feed The Kids
The impact of the Feeding Program extends far beyond providing meals; it has fostered a renewed enthusiasm for education among the children. Many of these students come from impoverished backgrounds, and the prospect of a nutritious meal has become a motivating factor in their desire to attend school. The school principal has reported a remarkable increase in both attendance and pass rates, further underscoring the program's positive influence on the students' academic journey.
We teach students valuable life skills in chicken farming for both consumption and entrepreneurship. Through these efforts, Abide Well is fostering sustainable growth and nurturing the next generation of leaders in our community.
The Abide Well Feeding Program is also supported by five local poultry farmers who supply chickens every six weeks. These chickens are distributed not only to Malanda Primary School but also to other community members in need, including elderly people, the Ebenezer Daycare, and a local orphanage.
A Personal Testimony from One of Our Chicken Farmers
"At one point, I struggled without a permanent structure for my business. The coop I had was inadequate—too small for my chickens and not weatherproof. Whenever it rained, my chickens would get soaked, which was detrimental to their health. I couldn't afford to construct a proper facility, but thanks to Abide Well, I received the necessary building materials and labor support. Now, my chicken coop is transformed and can comfortably accommodate over 100 chickens. I take great pride in knowing that my business contributes to nourishing the children in my community. I am incredibly grateful to Abide Well for this invaluable support!"
